R: To use 3M DP8005 adhesive, you must use the 3M DP8005 Manual Applicator for 50 ml, 38 ml, 45 ml, and 48.5 ml two-component cartridges, using the 10:1 plunger (included with the applicator on our website). You also need the compatible orange mixing nozzle, 10:1 ratio, for 45 ml cartridges.
Q: Does DP8005 require surface preparation?
A: Substrates must simply be clean, dry, and free of oil, dust, and release agents. For metals, clean with solvent, sand with 150-grit sandpaper, then clean again; for other plastics, an isopropyl alcohol wipe is sufficient.
Q: Do I need a primer to use DP8005?
A: DP8005 is formulated to avoid the use of primer on LSE plastics. The primer becomes necessary in particular cases (non-LSE materials, contaminated surfaces, applications.
