3M™ TL42 provides vibration, corrosion and shock resistance for fasteners in assembled form. It's a blue, medium removal torque anaerobic adhesive, medium viscosity product. Cures quickly in the absence of air when parts are assembled.
TL42 hardens and seals threaded assemblies to resist vibration and prevent loosening or leakage of secured fasteners. Applying this adhesive to fasteners before tightening seals out moisture and prevents corrosion.
This product prevents nuts and bolts from loosening with vibration, and eliminates the need for lock washers and other locking components.
