LOCTITE 648 is a low viscosity, high strength retaining compound with high temperature resistance. Typical applications include holding gears and sprockets onto gearbox shafts and rotors on electric motor shafts. 

It not only works on active metals (such as carbon steel) but also on passive substrates such as stainless steel and coated surfaces.

• High temperature resistance (Service temperature from -55 - 180°C) and resistant to oils, gasoline, brake fluids.
• High temperature resistance (up to 180 ºC)
• Tolerates light contamination by industrial oils
• High strength on any metal, including passive materials (stainless steel)
