3M™ 470 Electroplating Tape with 0.16mm vinyl backing is non-corrosive, flexible, abrasion resistant, conformable, clean removal, easy to apply, versatile, resists humidity, clearly visible. Ideal for plating chemicals, anodizing chemicals, milling, etching and peening operations.
Resists most common solvents and works at temperatures up to 170°F/76°C
Conformable vinyl backing is ideal for use on curved and irregular surfaces, the rubber adhesive offers excellent sealing resistance on many surfaces, with clean removal from most surfaces.
3M 470 is abrasion, moisture and wear resistant to rugged working conditions.

- Masking during electroplating, including flat and overlapping strip masks
- Masking during the anodizing operations
