3M™ 5451 PTFE Glass Cloth Tape provides a slick surface on process machinery and offers an extremely low coefficient of friction which, in combination with a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive, creates a non-stick surface that performs at elevated temperatures.
Brown woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)
Premium glass cloth reinforced backing provides greater tensile strength and resistance to tears and punctures than typical PTFE film backed tapes, the silicone adhesive offers high temperature performance and long aging.
3M 5451 performs in humid environments due to its very low moisture absorption. It has a thick PTFE coating for an exceptionally smooth non-stick, low-friction surface. The reinforced, woven cloth fabric base has increased tensile strength, enabling it to resist wear, tears and punctures. It’s flexible and conformable, able to wrap around rolling surfaces and in spiral patterns.
