3M™ VHB™ 4979F is a closed-cell, conformable, pressure-sensitive, double-sided acrylic foam tape. Colour: grey, thickness: 1.55 mm. 1200 mm x 33 m roll. Thermal resistance up to 149 ºC for short periods. Plastic liner- Differs from 3M VHB 4056 in color.

With PE film coating. Multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides binds to a wide range of high and medium surface energy substrates, including metals, glass, and a wide variety of paints and plastics, as well as plasticized vinyl.

Conformable foam provides good contact between substrates even when they are slightly mismatched. The tape 3M VHB 4979F is part of the family of 4941 tapes. Each product of this family is equipped with multi-purpose acrylic adhesive and conformable foam, but varies in thickness, color and type of coating.
